I have to work 60 hours a week to keep us housed, and isn't that the whole idea? raising the cost of living until people have to have extra hours, second and third jobs, and at most one day out of the week to rest and recover is a great deterrent to change. no one has the time or energy to fight back when they start taking our rights. it's scary.

I want to take measures to prevent my domestication. I want to go to protests and make it change and secure our rights. I want to be productive. I don't feel like I'm smart enough. I wish I'd had the resources to go to college after high school and learn more about the issues so I could feel like I'm well-equipped to argue about it objectively, because appealing to their empathy doesn't work if they simply don't have the capacity to care about anyone but themselves. I have so much to do before I'll feel like I can contribute anything worthwhile to the revolution, but at the very least, I'm happy to be another body at the riot.
