Alec got up and stepped outside onto the balcony, gently feeling the petals of the roses that grew on the windowsill. They were so beautiful, yet so fragile. As if a single touch would turn them into dust.

The white flowers and deep blue heathers. And the roses...lots of roses. Her mother had loved roses, and so did Kristi..

Alec kneeled down to the small pots of roses he'd planted earlier that day. One rose, the white rose, was so beautiful he couldn't help but want to stare at it forever. "I'll show her the garden tomorrow..." he whispered to himself. "And then I'll give her this rose..."

Alec yawned and headed back into bed, drifting off into a dreamless sleep. -

Alec awoke to the shrill beeping of his alarm clock. (xD familiar at all?) He pounded it with his fist and got up, heading to his bathroom to shower and get dressed. -

OH GAWD. *feels like she can hear it*
She woke up, with her ankle and leg numbish. She yawned, and could'nt move that leg at all. Okie then... -
Alec threw on jeans, a sweatshirt, and some socks. He walked down stairs and started up the frying pan and toaster. He threw some eggs into the skillet along with some bacon.

Alec carefully placed the food onto the plate in the shape of a smiley face, poured some orange juice, and brought it in to her and set it on the table next to the couch. "'Morning," he said, smiling. -
