Halloween is the one day of the year I can indulge in candy and now my freaking school play is making me miss it

I joined the book club at my school and I was super excited
Until I realized that the only books they picked were literally meant for the age of ten and had no plot development whatsoever, stereotypical gender roles, and the theme was always directly stated in the text. -
I have a crush on this girl in my drama class. A few days ago we were all outside, and a little group of us were talking. The girl says, "Everyone always thinks I'm bi, but I'm not bi, I'm straight."
The other people laugh as they say that they thought she was bi but I'm just over here trying not to hit myself
