So for the last week or so I've counted like 12 people knocking on our door.
We live on the third floor of an apartment on the edge of town. We've been here for a year and a half and in that time we've had like maybe four or five people knock, but suddenly there's a bunch of people knocking constantly.
Most of the time they're gone before I get to the door but I know that I'm not imagining it because my cats go bonkers every time.
The few times I have caught them they're always wearing formal wear. I've seen an older woman and a younger man in formal wear, which made me think Jehovah's witnesses, but then the other night at 9pm I got a knock from a young woman in formal wear. I watched her through the peephole and she waited for several minutes, checking her phone constantly and finally after she got a text or something she left.
It's just bizzare to me. Did someone put our address on Craigslist listing or something? Are people coming by to figure out the best time to rob us? Is it just one crazy coincidence? Should I make a report to my landlords or am I being paranoid?
Please help lmao. Someone just did it again and it's making me paranoid af -
Also why so many? Why the random times of day? I simply don't understand it at all :(

I haven't opened the door for anyone because I'm paranoid and also normally in jammies or something or just not prepared to answer

Definitely say something to your landlords and if your neighbors are friendly, I'd say something to them too. Can you put a no soliciting doormat or door sign out?
Id also not answer. It's better to be paranoid and overly cautious than the alternative. -
Thanks a bunch for answering! That makes me feel a lot better.
I'm going to let them know and I'll update if anything changes.
Hopefully it all just goes away š
