that stereotype of everybody knowing everybody in small towns is 100% true. whenever I would go anywhere and mention my last name, they instantly knew my family. really weird feeling since im from CA where you are just one of thousands of people

Omg ur also from cali :D

Texas:
-hardly any cowboy types in general unless you end up in certain places they're more likely to be
-very few people talk with a southern drawl, at least in my large city. The usual accent is much more neutral American, people online never expect me to be from Texas from my accent because it isn't even vaguely southern sounding, the only thing that'll tip you off that I've ever even lived in the south is the occasional y'all just because it's a useful contraction lol
-Country music is, in fact, EVERYWHERE and it's friggin annoying for a person like me that isn't exactly a fan of country
-no, Texas does not want to secede from the union on a technicality. in fact that technicality would never actually work even if we did want to, but we do have a weird technicality. If we wanted to we could split up the state into 5 smaller ones. kind of the opposite of leaving the union to be our own country lmao
not too familiar with other Texas stereotypes so feel free to throw any at me to find out my experience with them or lack thereof -
i live in ohio and the biggest joke people make about our state is that it doesn’t exist

Madi it's really weird to lie about where you're from🚩/j /nm
