Hi everyone, figure if there's any time to do an intro it would probably be now, and I'm usually just over in my corner of the website so newer people might not know me and others might have forgotten stuff lol
I usually go by Alex, but there often has been a surprising amount of people on here with similar names so I also go by Alek here. I'm also called Space elsewhere so you can call me that if you want!
My pronouns are he/him but I don't mind they/them either. 21 years old. I've been here since mid-2014.
I'm a huge nerd about outer space, and I love sci-fi. I'm a writer (hence the potentially long intro lol), an artist, a worldbuilder, and I love music, both listening to it and making it! These days in my thread when things are in italics it's a fair bet that they're song lyrics.

I didn't know you make music, that's super cool! Do you write standalone lyrics, or do you also do instrumentals for your work?

Well, weirdly I do kind of write lyrics, but the music I make is generally instrumental. I have had words in songs, even a bit of singing, but in those cases, it's always been written for the song, I haven't done it the other way around. It's largely a genre thing, my work resembles a soundtrack moreso than a song that would have lyrics, so I've just never really done it that way. Would really like to try doing some electronic rock/metal at some point, which would allow me to do things that way, but there's a lot I have to do before that'll be possible. Thus until I actually can write lyrics for songs I tend to just refer to what I write as poetry. Generally the song lyrics I post in my thread are from songs I listen to

Yeah, I actually have a thing that gets it on pretty much any music platform, so for instance here's my Spotify, and I've been trying to put up visualizer videos on my YouTube channel. I've also got a huge backlog of stuff I haven't released yet, and I've been thinking a lot about how I can resolve that.
