We’re putting together a welcoming committee! The functions of the committee will be as follows:
• greet new users on the forums
• answer any questions they may have
• be present and friendly while helping to guide them as they adjust to the etiquette of the site
• offer mediation services upon request
• promote community engagement and bonding
The committee meets and holds all of its discussions on Discord. As such, a Discord account is a must if you want to join. The only other prerequisite is that you meet the 13+ age requirement that applies to all Gotoquiz users.
This is meant to be a positive community geared toward nurturing healthy and lasting friendships across the site. We want everyone to feel safe and included, not only within the committee, but everywhere on Gotoquiz. As such, once you’ve joined, your continuing membership in the committee will be contingent on your ability to adhere to a very simple set of rules:
• Be kind. No member of the committee shall harass or bully anyone on the forums or in the server.
• Be respectful. All members of the committee shall do their best to be inclusive and respectful of everyone, regardless of their background.
• Be conscious of other people. Please don’t spam or post explicit content, either on the forums or in the server.
• We’re on the same team. Keep in mind that we’re all working toward the betterment of the site, and refrain from bringing interpersonal hostility into the group. Joining this team is an agreement to work amicably with all of its members toward a better Gotoquiz.
This committee is still a work in progress, so while this thread primarily serves the purpose of recruiting new members, we’re also open to suggestions and feedback!
