I tried gaming, music, thinking of things, but every time I hear one explode, I jump and my heart nearly beats out of my chest. I sometimes forget for a few seconds if I manage to do something that usually helps me calm down, but when it explodes, I'm worse off because I wasn't expecting it.

I hope that you feel better soon. I'm really sorry that people are firing off loud fireworks in your area /gen
If you're able to, you may want to get some kind of ear muffs with noise suppressing qualities to help the next time this happens. I know that won't help you right now, but it may be a big help in the future
