Working for a temp agency, so I take shifts whenever at wherever partners either the company. My first job was at Harris Teeter, working for three bakery and deli, making subs.
Met a whole lot of entitled idiots who three fits if I separated their bread to toast it, or if I didn't separate their bread to toast it, or tired to walk me through my job like I'm stupid but refused to answer the simple question of "What cheese do you want".
Liked the employees, though, and there was one that reminded me of Dav. Perhaps Dav'song-lost sister. Lmao She was chill and wasn't about bs involving other people. She kept to herself, but helped me through the day, and she was the only one to check on me during my shift. The manager was awesome. I told her honestly that I didn't think I was doing a good job because the customers kept snapping at me, but she encouraged me to keep going and was actually proud of my work.
I checked my profile today and I have a 98% recommendation for other places to hire me. But, for my shift, I received 100% for professionalism, work, and attitude!
I am in so much physical pain, right now, because I stood for 8 hours straight, but I'm glad I did that well on my first day, I guess. -
No way. That's awesome to hear! Aside from the physical pain and the entitled asses, anyway
