I thought asbestos were like some sort of mold or parasite until I was like 17.
Also slightly related problem:
knowing way too many words from reading but never actually hearing them spoken so you pronounce a lot of things totally wrong 😅
What facts did you find out way later than you should've? -
This is the part where I remember that 8:30 for me is like 10-1 a.m for most of you so no one's awake. If you're asleep sleep well and if you're awake come say hi lol

I get the pronunciation one a ton.
-
Yep, as a book + internet kid pronunciation got me a lot.
It's not as specific of a thing but honestly I learned a lot of stuff about socializing way later than most people, This place was a big part of that learning process since my only other option at around the same time was learning from people at school who mostly all hated me except a couple fellow outcasts lol -
I didn't learn how to properly brush my teeth until I was 17 years old
-
I still don't know how to. I brush them too hard. XD
I didn't realize until 17 that the crosswalk guy is gay. He cross-walks like a man and sashayes like a woman. Lmfao
I didn't realize until last year that your insurance company doesn't give you free money. -
I love all of these. Glad to see I'm not the only one who's been bullied by loved ones for my horrible pronunciation lol

How babies are made
Tbh I could go without knowing that for the rest of my life ðŸ¤
