Umm so basically I saw a comment section full of Americans not knowing what a kettle was 🤨😯 or saying they boil their water in a pot over the stove so ig I'm just curious LOL

Or the kettle like a big pot, because I know that's another word for that. -
Americans make coffee though?? I mean pot water will work fine but it's more difficult to pour so I guess that makes some sense

I don't think I've seen a house that doesn't have a tea kettle.

What 😠now I'm even more confused hahaha I even have American friends who have asked me what a kettle is before qjrkpgnekfo and who always mention having to boil water over a stove for instant ramen or tea and everything else

I mean, it's usually one of those kettles that you put on the stove top, but never a pot that you put spaghetti in, it something.

Everybody over here has electric ones. I don't think I've seen anybody w an over the stove one -
I have a glass one, but most adults I know have an electric one in their house. We even have one in our classroom
For a while I had to use a pot but that was because of being broke, not because we don't have them
You can find them at any store that sells appliances, they're very common -

I can't believe I didn't see this sooner.
Yesterday we were at the store and Kyle INSISTED we bought a kettle for our water. I don't see what the difference is between boiling it any other way but he felt very strongly about it. We're both American though so I think it may be cultural from house to house. -
