Anyways, totally not scared to go to school in my pride stuff.
I also totally didn't hear my dad say transphobic s--- yesterday.
It's fine. I'm not scared of what my aunt will say when she sees me.

I'm shaking, last year was a nightmare for poor 7th grade me. I can't stop thinking about what they may do this year.
I'm sorry for the rant, I'm just scared.

It happened.
I got assaulted by a 6th grade boy while I was walking to our DnD club. He grabbed my pride flag and tried to run with it while I clung onto it for dear life. I'm pretty sure my wrists are going to bruise.
After I had gotten it back, a noon duty walked up to me and asked me "what happened", "Are you okay?" and a whole bunch of questions before getting the principal. My friends, sister, her friends, a couple of the noon duties, the principal and even some strangers asked me the same questions. I struggled to answer anything because my brain was not functioning and I was so close to having a breakdown.
I'm traumatized and I'm not wearing my pride gear anymore. Maybe a pin and my rainbow sunglasses, but nothing else.
I can't do this.
I'm sorry, I'm so scared for my safety right now. It's becoming too much to handle and I might not show pride this year. -

It's scary that they quickly knew how to make us fear for our lives, which is...very bad. And I was literally just yesterday talking about how maybe this year it wouldn't be as bad. -
Unfortunately, that's just how humanity is. Humans will always attack things they consider different, even if they deny that they do. Its just in their nature.
