It really sucks when you want to maintain a friendship but they're kind of emotionally toxic.
I love my friend to death but they inherited some of their parents narcissistic tendencies and they like to low-key bag on me and tell me I'm the problem whenever I try talking to them about anything. -
Whenever I try to talk to her about a problem I'm having with someone else, she will try to defend them and tell me why I'm wrong.
I appreciate someone who's willing to tell me when I'm wrong, but when it's a situation she doesn't really know anything about or I'm just trying to vent it's extremely frustrating. -
Yes that sounds extremely frustrating that would be so it’s good to have constructive criticism is fine but it’s a whole other thing to be just like “NO YOUR WRONG AND HERES EXACTLY WHY”

Sometimes I get that it's just how she is, but when I try talking about my experiences with religious trauma she'll try to defend my abusers and minimize my experiences.
I don't think she does it on purpose. I really don't think she realizes she's doing it so I have a hard time blaming her I've just learned to not talk to her about anything but the weather -
Have you had a conversation with her about what she’s doing and how it affects you??

She hasn't come to terms with her own trauma yet so I think she tries to justify abusive behaviors to cope with her own trauma
