I thought it might be fun to talk about the ongoing defamation trial between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. Obviously it's extremely mainstream right now and there's a lot of coverage on it.
What are your thoughts on it thus far? Any moments you think are funny or unconventional opinions on it all? -
Yeah, her lawyers are incompetent but I genuinley don't believe it's appropriate to talk about "funny" moments of a trial about domestic violence, and emotional abuse, black mail and defemation. /nm

I actually agree with fifi on this one.

Please do not call me fifi /srs.

Oh, sorry

I agree with Fifidee. Also the entire trial makes me really anxious. I can relate a little too much to the concept of an abuser accusing the survivor, because my abuser did similar things to discredit me, though on a much larger scale since I'm not a celebrity lmao. I really hope that the decision is a just one.

((Oh s--- that was OOC my bad. Just pretend I put parentheses))

I agree hard-core with Seth. I'm a survivor, whose case was discredited because my abusers daddy had money, and another because of a high position in our communities church.
So I'm very much sensitive to this trial.
Justice for Johnny depp is extremely important, and I hope he gets it. -
I think it's okay to make jokes about amber and her wish legal defense team. Even Depp is laughing at her. I haven't seen any humor that wasn't at her expense so far, not any that made mention of the actual subject of the trial.
In general I don't this the situation is funny at all. But i do think her/her legal team being roasted is hilarious. -
I find situations like these disgusting in general. s--- like this generally just pisses me off.

I think I was coming from the same perspective of pointless dreams. Obviously the subject matter itself isn't a laughing matter but the situational irony of certain aspects of it is numerous and it appears that Depp is using humor to cope with many aspects of it. I mostly find the actions of the lawyers funny, regardless of the context of the case the things they say are funny. That's why you can find funny court compilations online. More than that I'm interested in the truth and am genuinely hoping that the trial does not get misrepresented and both parties are treated fairly despite their status.
