I hate it when people wear expensive clothing brands just because they’re expensive. Like I’m out seeing so many people who wear Lululemon just so they can say “I’m wearing Lulu’s rn”
It just pisses me off. Like I wear Lululemon when I’m running or exercising, and occasionally when I’m just around the house.
Same goes for other things. Like Starbucks, people act like it’s a symbol of being rich or status or something. -
I agree with that!
Tho,,,,I really like starbucks -
No same here
Like, some of their drinks are really good. But going to Starbucks just to say “I went to Starbucks yesterday 💵💕🥺” -
I know, it's like, "Oh my god, we get it, you're a self-centered, pretentious, absolute human piece of s---."
-
"That wasted their money on a t-shirt."
-
Mhm. And no hate to Lulu or any other brand like that. Their products are genuinely good, which is what gained the brand popularity in the first place.
I guess people think that it’s a sign of cool, but idk abt that -
T-shirts are not waste
-
Also, if anyone’s just wearing, it I’m fine. It’s when they starting bragging about it. Like I don’t really care if theyre casually dressed head to toe with neon pink Lululemon things. But like
The second they say “I’m wearing Lulu”
I’m outta there. Like no one asked -
I remember one time this girl made a tiktok that called out my entire grade for “having no fashion sense and using expensive clothes to cover that up”
Lol that was a giggle moment -
I love high fashion but I definitely think most people who have money buy signature brands more for the status than the actual artistic value behind their clothing. Try asking a woman with a louis Vuitton bag what popular designers like iris van herpen is or Giorgio Armani make and I guarantee nine out of ten have no clue.
This extends to celebrities and I feel like the met gala this year was a great example of how out of touch most people with money and status are. -
Why buy a shirt with one word on it for over 1 hundred dollars when you come get a spirited away shirt for twenty something dollars
-
I think we can all agree the definition ‘fashion’ isn’t the same as ‘spendy’ lol
