As of a few hours ago, GTQ Guy contacted us via the moderator forums to announce the unfortunate closure of the website GoToQuiz, starting with of course, the least visited aspect of the website: the forums. In his post he stated he simply (and clearly) had no time left to work on the forums anymore, and that the user encouragement towards mocking him, such as the insults made towards him calling him a "silly little stinker green elephant with polka dot feet" are not the kind of behaviour he wishes to promote to such a young audience, so he has made the difficult decision to shut down the site, forever.
Additionally, he expressed serious concerns for viruses appearing on the forums but not on his system. He was seriously worried about the harm they may be causing and decided it would be better to just shut the website down, asap. In fact, he stated this was the main reason he couldn't keep the site running, because he no longer had time to look through and change everything to fix said virus. He was of course, talking about the false "clown virus" and I apolgize to all of gtq for accidentally contributing to the closure of this website. I may or may not have spammed clowns in one of the threads he had made in the mod forum. I'm so deeply sorry for this mistake, and clownery.
Unfortunately, gtq guy warned that as he works to close the website down for good, some people may be able to access your accounts without entering a password. It is a very slim chance, but he told us that it happened once or twice to him and he's working hard to resolve the issue while he finalises everything he needs to do before closing his website down
So of course and most obviously, we'll have to be saying goodbye to the home many of us grew up on. Again, I'm sorry for the clownery on my side of things. I didn't tell gtq guy it was all fake because honestly I enjoy the power corruption that comes with being a moderator, and I wasn't prepared to give it up just yet. And that clown virus still makes me giggle to this very day. So im sorry but we're all going down together. I'm more willing to shut this website down than to ruin my little giggle spree.
