If you could make one law a reality in your country, what would it be?
I'm just going to get it out of the way. Some of my questions will probably technically fit better in different forums, but the point of this is to post them in the lounge so they have the most visibility for daily community interaction. -
If I could change something about america I'd make all government positions lower salary positions and seriously crack down on bribes and make punishments for accepting bribes a lot higher. I'd want to make it so you couldn't take home more than a certain amount of money annually if you worked in a public office.
My law would need a lot of finessing, but something like it would help with corruption a lot I think -
As much as congressional term limits would seem great, career politicians are needed sometimes, so
I would probably require a ban on that thing where people know what to invest in before anyone else, I forget the name for it. Like how congresspeople in state and federal invested in mask and vaccine companies before the public was skeptical about covid. Not that it's bannable, but it's evil
