My succulent just died and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. :(
If any of u have plants tell me what they are and how u keep them alive bc I just can't and it's making me depressed 😠-
I wish I knew, I wish I knew.

Hey there! It's nice to meet you btw :)
I take care of plants for a living so I'm happy to help you out. What kinds of plants have you had in the past?
I didn't hear much about your plants but from what you did say it sounds to me like you have a habit of neglecting and then lovebombing your plants which is actually really common for people who have a hard time keeping a schedule or are struggling with mental illnesses. (Not sure if you are, just stating a fact.)
Anyways, I could recommend some plants that thrive off neglect and heavy intermittent waterings. Palms and peace Lilies both like to be neglected and then watered thoroughly. If you can remember to not water them too much, snake plants and zzs also do well with neglect. I would also recommend getting on plant TikTok or Instagram if you use those apps. Just getting plant tips sprinkled in with your regular social media content will make you a much better plant parent. -
I realize that I just inferred a lot with very little information. Sorry if my advice is unhelpful lol. Like I said I work with them for a living so most of the people who struggle with their plants follow the patterns I mentioned.

It's nice to meet both of u 🌱
Thank u btw! I don't know the names of the plants I had but I had a green one with a think stem and long leaves and some succulents. I think I did over water them. I just wanted the take care of them 😠-
I'd say most of the time it tends to be over watering that is the problem! Although I can't say for sure as I'm not the best w succulents ^^'
It's cool to see someone else who likes plants on GTQ tho! I don't believe I've seen you around before, I'm your friendly neighborhood Spice :D -
I've never grown succulents before so I can't help there.
I usually just look for the plant's signs that it needs to be watered.
Like, "Oh you look kind of sad, let's give you some water."
Some plants I would recommend, though, are
1. Jade plants. When I was little, I forgot it existed for two years. And somehow it was still alive. I don't know how in the world, but yeah, if you can find a jade plant, get one. The way you know when to water it is the leaves will begin to get a little wrinkly.
2. Cuban Oregano. It tells you when you need to water it. When the white parts of the leaves turn pink, you know you need to water it. They turn purple if it's really bad. Also tastes good with a bunch of different types of food!
3. Christmas Cactus. This is good for when you're like, "Oh shoot I haven't watered my plants in forever!" A neat part is that you can take of the leaves of the cactus from any part and put them to root. I can't count how many times when the cactus is in bloom I take a flower and some of the leaves and put it in a plastic cup with water and give it to someone as a present. People love it. -
it depends on what type of plants you have.
