My parents, trying to make me do eight hours of work for them: Pfft you’re just helping us come on
Me: Alright do I like not get a day in this or anything
Parents: Nope :D
Me: You gave me a choice last Saturday and when I said no you forcibly made me anyways
Parents: Well yeah it’s kind of not a democracy here it’s a dictatorship what do you expect
Me: That doesn’t change the fact that you’re contradicting yourself in favor of making me do whatever you want-
Parents: Well when you turn 18 and move out you can do whatever you want
My brain: Alright. So you ask me to do something nicely, I politely decline because it’s the weekend and I’m working my ass off at school all week anyways, and you either use brute force or guilt trip me into doing it every single time. I could learn from this and start not making them pissed, or… I could continue making them pissed just for the satisfaction of it. Yeah, I’ll go with Plan B. -
