I read somewhere that scientists and doctors are still unsure of where your conscious comes from.
Obviously, there’s still the brain and everything. But I’ve been looking at a lot of things relating to “conscience doesn’t come from the body or brain.”
So,…… even if you don’t know the answer please share your thoughts below. -

Like you said, we don't have a scientific answer to that question. I don't consider myself religion but I am spiritual. I believe that just as though a two dimensional being cannot physically comprehend a three dimensional being, we cannot comprehend all of the inner workings of our Galaxy. We are limited by our perception and so there were always be flickers and snapshots of something greater, but never fully revealed. Some call it ghosts, others god. My word for it is spiritual, simply an undefinable source that lingers amongst all of us. Just the shadow of the being that is reality. I believe consciousness comes from there, or rather from a place that is incomprehensible to us because we lack the physical capacity to recognize it

This might be further away from your original question than you intended, but I believe that there are hereditary spiritual aptitudes. Some families have tendencies to share what they consider to be gifts, like a sensitivity to what they believe to be the dead. My mom's side of the family personally experiences mild but consistent clairvoyance. I have dreams regularly that I consider premonitions. Sometimes it's just a stray thought that ends up being too much of a coincidence. Particularly when people are about to die. I always know first because they'll be on my mind despite me having no reason to think about them. I have always noticed it in myself but didn't realize that all the women in my family had it until I spoke with my aunt six months ago. Without me even saying anything she asked me if I experienced it and when I said I did she told me that all the women in the family have it. I might do more research into it because I find it very fascinating..

Anyways that probably sounds ridiculous to most rational people. All I can say is that my beliefs are based off of experience, not blind hope of obtaining nirvana or hive mind. Once you predict 10+ car crashes and exactly where and how they happen hours before they happen and have voices telling you to say goodbye to someone because you're never going to see them again just to have them die that week unexpectedly you just have to stop telling yourself it's a coincidence every time and accept that maybe it's something bigger that you're not meant to understand.

@Cham: I actually think it’s part of your brain, but that part doesn’t activate until later on. I’m not quite sure as this is a very touchy subject (to some), and as you’ve stated yourself, scientists haven’t yet discovered where the conscious comes from. It’s just ur thoughts -
