I've noticed a growing number of you interacting with them in quiz comment sections, and while I can't make you stop, I'd like to respectfully ask that you do so of your own accord.
Here's the thing.
1. Teatime throws a good pity party, about how they've apologized but the mods won't give them a chance. But no one gets banned without thoroughly earning it, and they were given multiple chances before the ban was issued.
2. Many of you are suggesting to them that they should change if they want to be welcomed back on the forums, and they superficially agree. Then they turn around and come back online to continue harassing and insulting the userbase. I'm hoping the case here is that you didn't know this, because we delete all of their s---ty comments fairly quickly. In the same moment they're telling you they're actually a nice person, they have been on the forums saying terrible things to and about your peers. This has never stopped. We deleted a few literally five minutes ago, so if you think anything you're saying to them about redemption is sticking, you're kidding yourself.
3. We have seen that they intend to come back and pretend to be a decent person in a new account. Even if they do, I hope you all know it would only be an act, as they've shown us again and again the kind of person they are at the core.
4. They continue to ignore their ban. They have no respect for the rules that keep this site and its members safe. They think they're above the rules you all adhere to in order to keep this community secure.
5. By continuing to interact with them in spite of their ban, you are giving them exactly what they want, and rewarding this awful behavior.
Sorry if this is a mess, I just woke up for no other reason than to deal with Teatime literally telling someone grieving over a dead pet to "get f---ed". That's the kind of person y'all are sympathizing with. Please consider this, and leave Teatime alone, as they should be. Thank you. -
Thanks for this. The culture around trolls has always been to not interact with them at all. Every comment or mention directed towards someone seeking attention only fuels their fire. If you ignore them they get bored because they realize they can't get the reaction they want from you.
If everything TeaTime claims is true, then I certainly feel bad for her, but an online public forum is no replacement for therapy and a stable home life. Remember that. If anything this is a mini lesson in emotional manipulation and what to look out for in your own personal lives when forming friendships. Textbook narcissistic behaviour with little regard for others, just how others affect them and somehow you feel like the bad person. -
Thank you. I’m sorry for trying to talk to TeaTime in quiz comments. I didn’t realize how many comments you guys have deleted, especially some that have been really messed up.
