💮 so d.i.d is where as a kid (before ages 6-9) goes through something traumatic enough so that their not-fully-developed personality/identity stops integrating and you end up with multiple identities/people/alters/parts in the same body, if that makes sense
💮 and osdd-1b is a branch off of d.i.d where there's less to no dissociative amnesia between alters, so if one person fronts, the others will come into front whenever they do and they'll remember at least some of what happened when they weren't in front -
