So I have the flu. I slept with a fever all day yesterday. Today I went to draw myself a bath and got in without checking the temperature. It's like 75f and I'm still sitting in it 15 minutes later because I'm too tired to get out and wait for the water to reheat. I'm so cold but honestly it's kinda helping with my fever.
What's the worst thing you've ever done to cope with being sick? -
ayo I had influenza a last week, it suuuucked. I was nearly bedridden for three days straight and my poor partner was taking care of me.
last week I tried taking liquid nyquil to bring my fever down and alleviate symptoms, but I'm really sensitive to the tastes of liquid medicine and ended up throwing up all over myself instead. and while I was bent over the trash can my partner was wiping my nose with tissues. god bless her -
Oh my god that's terrible. I hope you're feeling better now! The flu sucks. :'( I'm so ready for this flu season to be over!
-
What? But i had para-influenza.
-
And it was contagious aswell :(
Sooo sorry for anyone who is sick/was sick -
it's been bad, it wiped out my students last week (and me)
-
Oh my that's sad!
At least it wasn't covid, covid is very contagious -
I had covid the week of Christmas and I'd say this flu is worse. For me personally at least. I would've rather had omicron again. It's hard to say though since covid symptoms can be so unpredictable

honestly the kids in my program would probably have had milder symptoms from covid than the flu
