I know I definitely do, I use it all the time on purpose. I hear in my head what I read, and even what I write, which I don't think is as normal. If I want to I can even speak in other people's voices in my head, which is really useful for reading novels, or online messages of people who I'm familiar with the voice of.

Yuh except mine never shuts up. I think maybe I stole your inner monologue w how chatty mine is. Don't even gotta be telling me what I need to do sometimes too, it'll just go off rambling on its own about whatever it feels like. Like DAMN I GET IT SHUT UP UR NOISY ... without actually even literally being noisy lol. Just inner monologue noisy

@alex, I think you just solved why I've always struggled to imagine the voices of book characters. If I try, the voices all sound the same in my head so I just don't.

And it's really hard for me to do. If I'm trying to do it I usually forget I'm trying and just go to my normal way of reading a story.

Every thought is an inner monologue for me. Every. Single. Thought. I'm monologuing this in my head as I type it
