So, basically I believe that every single human has an important connection with some aspect of nature, but the connection to something is completely individualistic, and will not be the same for every person. For example, my important connection is the ocean. It personally has just always been calling for me ever since I can remember. I believe once you find that connection and interact with it (if you can), and stay in touch with it, it will make a huge difference in your life, as nature and humans should work together, not against each other. For me at least, my connection to the ocean gives some form of mental healing (not like getting rid of mental illnesses, but it makes you happier in the moment you are with it, so you'll feel calmer and more at ease). So, I think everyone has that connection somewhere inside.

Some people, based on their personalities, I think I can kinda tell what that connection is, but I will never fully know unless they tell me.

But, that's just how I think -
I believe our galaxy is a higher power, rather than any deities. However, I do not believe in bashing anyone for religious beliefs, and everyone has a right to believe in a deity, or multiple deities, or no deities.

The environment around us is the higher power, and there are aspects of that I believe everyone is connected to in a very personal way, even if they don't realize it. For me, it's the ocean. And this is just me, but I feel when we die, we finally become one with the thing we were connected to in nature. -

I have similar beliefs, though mine also include other parts of cultural beliefs!
For me my element would be earth, I connect a lot with forests, and spend most of my time in them -
That's really cool! I also believe the connection can be specific, for example, I don't feel greatly connected to lakes, rivers, pools, ect. It's specific to the ocean.
I'm using Eggy as an example, because I've told her about this, and I know I could be completely wrong, but I feel Eggy's connection is mushrooms -
Also I'm glad you spend time in those places!! I feel like that's a great thing to do to help with mental health! (Not cure mental illness or anything drastic)
