I hope you'll all be having a good one. Sending positive vibes your way and a smooth and easy going christmas or whatever you may celebrate/do over the next few days
Christmas, also reminds me of the importance of mental health. And I wanted to touch on that a bit, as I was reminded of that again through an event which happened today. Seasonal depression can hit some people hard, as well as other mental illnesses and struggles around the holiday season. And I'm thinking about those people a lot today, as I do every Christmas ofc- as well as those who may be unable to celebrate, or perhaps feel they are alone this year, or struggling through some other personal crisis or issue which prevents them from feeling the full joy of the holidays, or who may feel lost in a slump or hole.
Sure, holidays are overhyped and you realize that more as you grow older, so it loses its sparkle a bit, but outside of that- I hope that anybody struggling through something, or simply struggling to the find the joy this year, will take care of themselves, and care for their loved ones these coming days. You don't have to pretend to be as excited as everyone else around you, but please remember to be kind to yourself, and seek help or support where you may need it. It's the season of giving, so make sure you give some love and self care to yourselves as well
