for high school, you shouldn't stress yourself out too much. especially if it's for a history class instead of an english class.
from what you've said, it sounds like more of an opinion piece than anything. the most important thing is that you demonstrate your knowledge of the material.
if it's for a history class, this means identifying the historical events leading up to the revolution. you may even look to some key figures involved in the revolution. your textbook would be the best source for this
if it's for an english class, then you would want to focus more on the format of the essay and your syntax
are sources required? as a student I often used sweetsearch.com when I was stuck -

i still just get super anxious abt this stuff and feel unaccomplished if i don't actually do stuff.
the other problem is i haven't been paying attention to the material much, and it really confuses me. honestly, i feel really productive at night so it might be the best time to do it. -
