Thread Topic: Does this mean something?

A while ago, my mom had a dream about one of my irl friends dying. She didn't know what the cause was, and didn't tell me until a few weeks later after I showed her a plot I made.
The plot I made was basically some girl who got murdered.
The victims name was my friends nickname. (I wasn't even thinking about it. I just put her name down.)
When I showed my mom the plot, she told me the dream she had la da dee da do.
But I'm terrified.
Lately, I've been having nightmares about my friends and family dying.
Last night I dreamt of that one friend dying.
From what, exactly?
Murder.
I had forgotten about the whole 'plot' thing, so why did I have a nightmare about this? It wasn't even on my mind.
My mom was freaked out about this as well, and told me to check on my friend.
I don't wanna sleep tonight.
I don't like the nightmares I get. ;-; -
Sometimes dreams have an opposite meaning irl.
Once, my mom dreamt that my uncle died. Turns out that it was another close relative that did die.
It all depends on what you believe off the dream. -
Have you told your friend yet?

Well there’s a reason I don’t like sleep
Just don’t sleep -
Reality can affect your dreams. I have a feeling that when you had that dream about your friend last night, it was simply because of your story you're writing and the dream your mother had told you about. Your brain is just trying to reprocess and understand it. That can especially happen with our fears and things which cause anxiety in our waking life. So if you're afraid of friends or family dying, it doesn't necessarily mean they're going to die when a dream happens about death: it's just your brain trying to rationalise your fears and concerns that you've been having lately. And when we've been worrying about these fears a lot or thinking about them/being reminded of them - they tend to have a habit of intruding into our sleep cycle. Even though that's pretty inconvenient
Perhaps your mother had that dream about your friend because she's been worried about her or noticing change in her? Death in dreams can resemble change in our waking lives or simply concern for other people. Dreaming about death of loved ones can also simply resemble a fear of losing your loved ones or having them leave you - or perhaps losing an important part in your life.
Death is often a symbol of change or ending to a section of your life that you're ready to move forward from, and can be seen as a positive symbol instead! If that eases any worries. It never hurts to check in on a friend though:) but just remember that our dreams are our brains way of processing information and that dreams in a more deeper perspective on what they are, are often full of symbolism rather than straight to the point and obvious meanings! -
K thx yall. This helps a lot ^^💖
