“OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HECK-“ I screamed, jumping back what seemed like 20 miles.
My dad's eyes widened as he stared at me in shock.
“Tsaleach, what the- what are you doing?!” He exclaimed.
“THERE’S. A. f---ING. MUSKRAT.”
“Language.”
“NOWS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT!!!”
My dad walked over to the chair and looked under it.
He looked back at me.
“It's a possum.”
I glared at him. That didn't make the situation any better!

So I know I haven't said anything for a while about the chickens. I've been a tad bit busy and have had no motivation whatsoever.
But anyways lets start from the beginning.

It was about a week ago I think since I last told you all about the chickens.
In my venting thread I mentioned something about Yokko.
Well now I'm going to talk about what happened with her.

I ran around the yard, chasing the chickens with my net in my right hand.
My brother had left me to do all the work while he rested inside the house.
Apparently he said he was feeling “sick”.
I finally managed to get all the chickens into the Run. However, I felt that something was wrong.
I counted all the chickens.
“1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11...”
I frowned. Was there someone missing? That was odd.
I stayed there for a few moments thinking about who was missing. Suddenly it hit me.
“Yokko!”
I looked around the yard but was unsuccessful in finding the chicken.
Then again I wasn't wearing my glasses.
Sighing, I went inside the house and yelled for my brother to come outside. Then I went back out.
When my brother finally arrived, he immediately spotted Yokko in a patch of leaves.
I ran over to her with my net. The second I got there she squawked and darted under a pile of wood.
My brother groaned while I panicked.
How could I get her out? There was literally no way she would come out by herself!
Knocking me out of my thoughts, my brother started throwing wood onto the pile.
What he didn't notice was that it was blocking all the exits.
“Isaiah, stop!” I yelled angrily.
He rolled his eyes and ignored me, tossing yet another piece of wood onto the pile.
I wasn't in the mood for this s---.
“OH MY GOD, JUST LEAVE! I CAN DO THIS MYSELF!” I screamed, batting at him with my net.
“Whatever, I was feeling sick anyways.” He muttered, going back into the house.
Well this was a problem.

About an hour later I finally got the chicken out after a lot of treats and patience.
I checked her whole body for any injuries.
What I found made me gasp.
A whole chunk of skin was gone.
I walked over to the deck, sat down, and put the chicken on my lap and proceeded to call my parents.
My parents had gone shopping at the time, and wouldn't be back until 9:00PM.
My dad picked up the phone and I told him all about what had happened.
He told me to clean the wound and then put medicine over it.
However I needed two people for this job.

“Isaiah, I swear to god.” I growled as I watched the mischievous boy pour water over the wound.
Yokko was on my lap and my brother was cleaning her wound.
“Alright, stop.” I said, wiping the wound with a paper towel.
“There's more water in here.” My brother said.
He was talking about the water bottle.
“Then pour it out.” I grumbled, taking Yokko off my lap.
“Gladly.”
Isaiah poured water all over my dress.
“WHAT THE f---.”
“You didn't clarify where to put it.”
“DID I SAY TO POUR IT ON ME?”
“No.”
“THEN WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO IT?!”
“Because.”
“BECAUSE?!”
“Shut up. The neighbors will hear you.”
“DOES IT LOOK LIKE-“
“Your chicken is running away.”
I whipped my head around to see Yokko going off in another direction.
“Just put the babies in their coop. I need the babies Run for Yokko.” I snapped, glaring at him before running after Yokko.
What I came back to was horrible.
Two of the big chickens were out of their Run.
One of them being Paul, the main rooster who loved chasing and attacking me, and Yzma, Pauls hen who he won't let anyone go after.
Inside the Run was my brother who was just staring at them.
My face was red with anger.
“What. The. Hell. Did. You. Do.””
My brother looked at me and waved, a smile on his face.
“I accidentally let them out.” He said.
“I LITERALLY TOLD YOU TO PUT THE BABIES IN THEIR COOP. THEIR COOP IS NOWHERE NEAR THE BIG CHICKENS. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?!?!??!!??”
“Can you just shut up? It was an accident.”
“You know what, just go inside. I don't need you.” I muttered.
Isaiah shrugged and left.

After what seemed like forever, I got Yzma and Paul back into their Run, cleaned out and made a place for Yokko in the babies Run, put medicine on Yokko, and put the babies away.
I went to the deck, very quickly might I add for some reasons, and frantically tried opening the door.
It was locked.
Hallelujah.
I banged against the glass and glared at my brother. He rolled his eyes and unlocked it.
I stepped inside and raced up the stairs to my room. I had to call my parents ASAP.
“Hey Mom, I finished with Yokko’s thing.” I said when she picked up the phone.
“Mhm.”
I told her everything that happened.
“Can you give me a picture of Yokko’s wound?” Mom asked.
I sent her a picture.
“That doesn't look good.” She mumbled.
“I know,” I said.
“We're going to have to put her down.”
“W H A T???!!” I exclaimed.
“It doesn't look like it'll heal.” Mom said.
“Just give the bird some time!” I begged.
“No. Your Dad will deal with her when we get home.” She said.
I hung up without saying goodbye.
Well this day was just a big pile of crap.

And that was the thing with Yokko.
I have to go rn but I'll tell you all about everything else when I come back on. :3
This was rushed so forgive the grammar mistakes and bad writing. Lol
Am currently freaking out about the whole possum thing since the goddamn animal popped out of nowhere. :>>
