I've never liked shots. They give me full on panic attacks, they hurt, and I just don't like thinking about something literally STABBING THROUGH my skin.

Honestly, I have the exact same problem. So I also refuse to get piercings or go near things like bees bc their stingers resemble needles to me.
I bribe myself into doing it, and look away. I also grab onto something hard, like maybe if I'm on a chair I'll grab the arm of it. I'll squeeze something until it's over.
When I'm done, even if it's something small, like eating a nice snack I don't usually eat but enjoy, I'll use that as my "reward" -
If you have a squeeze toy, or something you can use as that, I'd bring it with you.

I can't just "suck it up." I have a huge fear of needles and stuff going through my skin. Don't tell me to just "deal with it." -

But that's what I usually do, I got my vaccine 1st shot like a couple weeks ago. -

I got my shot a few hours ago- it’s the same size and pain level as a flu shot, though I heard in other states the needle is a few inches longer

Yeh I have to get mine in like few weeks
and I have to go to the doctor's office
Idk what they are doing to me but it has to be scary and i don't want it like that O_O -
Also, maybe if you tell the person giving you the shot that you're nervous, it could help you.

hi! even tho they said they aren’t a troll, it’s probably best to not feed into their negativity.
pepper, i also have a strong fear of needles and have since a traumatic event, and i always bring a buddy to talk to and hold onto something while looking away.
it’s not a miracle worker but it does help take attention away from the scary parts <33 -
Okay but then my parents are going to call me a "wimp" so hahaha that's just great.
