I faked sick a lot as a kid
If I was with older kids and noticed they faked sick all the time, I'd make an effort to find out why and try to fix it. Do they want to be cared for/about? Do they crave positive attention and that's the only way they think you get it? Is something happening at school that they don't want to go?
School should be a place kids are excited to go -

I keep reading Lost In Translation even though I don't really like it
It's not the art style, though it bothers me sometimes that's like the least of my concerns with a good webtoon. I've read a lot of webtoons and manga with worse art styles that were great
But the characters in Lost In Translation don't feel rounded out at all. Thry don't even feel like real people atall. They feel like ideas of people. One dimensional paper dolls. They don't seem to think and behave like actual idols. They think and behave like some kpop stan believes they do.
I was still reading it but then they put Wyld in a maid costume. Ik it was a meme for a while and stuff but I'm really sick of manga, anime, and webtoons where they make the softspoken character cross-dress for fanservice. It comes off really fetishy and fujoshi-like. Also that entire scene was written really lazily, and the author becomes overly defensive when met with criticism -
It seems to be made for girl kpop stans, which I am not a girl or a kpop stan so that would make sense
