Tigerlily, or Lily for short, sat in a tree, in tiger form. She yawned, and stared at the darkening sky, eyes almost slits. -
The man, his face hidden by the shadows of the alley, stared with an emotionless face at the girl who stood not to far away. "What do you want? I don't have any mon-" she was interupted by the stranger.
"You know a girl named Tess..."
"Yeah, she's my freaking cousin! Again, what do you want!?" she screamed, the panic now becoming obvious in her voice.
The stranger stepped closer, and she had to squint to see his face. She had a pencil in her left pocket...maybe that would work as a weapon...
her thoughts were cut short when she was suddenly thrown against the wall. Her vision blurred. She hadn't even seen the man move...
she felt like she hadn't slept in weeks.
"Of course. Just forget about Tess...just forget about everything..."
The girl mumbled something and nodded.
A part of her still screamed that danger was near. Who cared? She decided that...it would be...best to do...whatever this man said...
She blacked out.
Tess walked outside and looked up at the sky. It was starting to rain. She frowned and quickly went back inside. -
The tiger lept down as it started to rain, growling frustratedly. She slipped into a earth red tent set up. She had no home and family.
She shifted back, eyes sad. She stared at the rain, and drifted off into sleep. -
Tess walked outside of the orphanage once again when she recognized her cousin, Madge walking towards the door. "What in the world are you doing here?" Tess asked. She was happy to see Madge, but wondered what she was doing at the same time. "I came to see you." was Madge's mumbled reply. "Wow, are you okay? You look kinda sick!" Tess exclaimed.
