Life is s--- for a lot of people, but not everyone uses it as an excuse not to take responsibility for their bad choices. You're not being attacked- please understand that. I just need you to understand that you were wrong. There's nothing inherently wrong with making mistakes- it's whether or not you choose to learn from them that defines you. I can help you find more constructive ways to cope with your feelings, if you want. I can listen to you, and try to guide you in the right direction. I'd be thrilled to help you become the person you deserve to be by any means within my grasp. All you have to do is make yourself more open to constructive criticism and help.

That's not the point I want you to take from this. I know you're having trouble- I'm asking you a question. Do you want help or not? I want to be here for you, but I need you to realize that won't always mean I'll take your side. Friends don't blindly cheer lead each other when they've done something wrong. I care for all of you, and that means I want you to become the best people you can. I want to help everyone here, but I need you to cooperate with me. What do you want?

From where I am? Very little. I can offer you company, and advice. I can listen to you when you need to vent, and I can do my best to help you approach your problems constructively. I can be your friend. All I need from you is a willingness to listen without becoming defensive. Nothing I say to you kids is meant in mean spirits. I know you're young. You're still developing. I understand that. I want to help you grow in the right direction, even if that means calling you out sometimes. I would expect the same from any friend of mine.
