i was having a conversation with my mom the other day about a little girl who had been looking at some inappropriate sites, things that someone her age should not be associated with. this girl, ten years old, was also talking to adult men on snapchat and possibly sending pictures. this is very dangerous.
these kids usually don’t understand that the people they’re talking to are trying to take advantage of them.
please, please, please. i know it is awful to think of a younger sibling, or yourself even, being involved with these kinds of people, but please keep a check on their behavior and internet use. if you have a younger sibling, please notify their guardians of the risks that may be involved if they aren’t correctly monitored.
this goes for anyone really. i’ve been concerned about this a lot lately because i know children are constantly being groomed on sites such as instagram and discord.
similar situations have even occurred here in the past. i just want to make sure everyone is safe and aware.

When sending pictures, please remember that a single lapse in judgement can have an impact forever. Please be careful of what you show others online.
If someone is talking to you in a way that makes you nervous or is trying to get you to do things you don't want to, you can tell a trusted adult and cease contact with that person.
You guys probably hear this stuff all the time, but it's serious. I wish I had listened when my teachers told me about online safety. -
