So I’m doing commissions in art.
But I really don’t know how to advertise and I need some suggestions for how to try and get some people to commission me <3 -

Make an Instagram and post with the hashtag #opencommissions, do this on twitter as well. Post your art and a sheet with prices/examples!

If you don’t have an Instagram already, you should make one. Also, try making those cards with your art info. If you haven’t already made a portfolio of your art yet, you should do that too so people get to know what your art is like.

You can do the exact same things on DA, btw. Anyone who looks up the word "commission" has a chance to stumble across your image or journal. Someone on here has a commission post, I can like you to it if you'd like to see their example.

If you're doing commissions for currency and don't have a bank account, you can charge for DA points. The conversion rate is every 100 DA points = $1 USD.
If you are interested in taking free commissions, those are called requests. Make sure you put a limit to how many requests you take, or else several greedy people will be all over you demanding for free art! -

In that case, I recommend making a journal with the title "LF: Discord Nitro" or something, and then explain you're interested in drawing art in exchange for Discord Nitro. You can insert images into journals, which makes it easy to display your examples! -
