Jake is the current head of the ouroborous or whatever its called, meaning it is his destiny to kill the man hes lived since the beggining, and with that bring on the destruction of the world, and the resetting of them both.
He was the tail last run, not that he remembers. Only the Tail can remember. -

They also remember everytime they were the head, and chased down their terrified partner. They'd remember the begging, and crying and everything
And they'd know that the head doesn't want to hurt them. They simply believe they must in order for the worldto survive.
But that can't be true.
There needs to be a way to end the cycle. -

There's totally a way for Jake and Jeremy to stop the cycle, but I feel like it should involve them ascending into full god hood, and in a state where the cycle can happen because they want to reset the world, together while remaining safe and happy.
