How would it be more accurate?
The one with most votes gets 1st, the one with second amount gets 2nd and person with least amount gets 3rd.
Using simple math you can figure out how many votes went to each person.
There's anonymity and so people won't feel pressured to vote as their friends do, or worry about how someone would think of them for not voting them. -
True, but people could just use alts. I would suggest saying something like "I voted" so we get a good estimate on how many actual users voted.

I don't think people who aren't users can vote. I've experimented with that.
