For starters, you're going to have to remove it. If not now, you're going to have to remove it eventually. It can cause an infection if it stays.

You're going to have to, or your mom's going to have to carefully trim it off around the edges. Warning, it will hurt, but in the next instruction I can tell you haw to make it hurt less, after it's off.
