at least on the internet, you can tell people your preferred name! but it's definitely difficult to get a legal name change :(

yea, it’s just, i don’t feel comfortable using my real name on the internet, so i always use my nickname, but most people irl call me that anyway.

I'm definitely starting to get that way as well. I no longer tell people my real name, I just go by Natien or Ian.

There are some sites that have names and their "meanings," which can be a really good source of some absolutely gorgeous/unique names! You could always poke around there.
