Why’re they toxic?

I thought I could trust them. I hung out with them, supported to them, listened to them for hours, but the moment I need them, even for something as small as a listening ear, they abandon me. They make up an excuse, they start talking about something else, interrupting me, etc.
When I confronted them, asking why they won't talk to me, they said, "Oh...sorry...It's just, you're so...different now. You never talk to us anymore."
I'm just fricking done. -
