Are you gonna let him go when he’s ready? Or not, because sometimes they can’t survive if they weren’t raised by birds. -
If he's prepared and unattached to humans, release would be the best option. If not, I'll probably have to find him a home.

I remember my older sister was taking care of a baby rat once. This kinda reminds me of that, hopefully it goes better than what happened to the baby rat
