I know this should be in the Front Porch, but I kinda need an answer as soon as possible.
You can move it once I’ve figured out what to do.
So, my former best friend hasn’t been talking to me in awhile. I saw her in-person today for school, and she seemed kinda exited to see me. She talked to me for a bit before talking to someone else, so everything’s going just fine.
But there’s this girl named Maria who often tries a little too hard to be friends with people. She’s really tall, to mention XD
She’s kinda the mom of the friend-group. But I feel like she’s taking my best friend away from me, ya know? -

Do you like Maria? If so, why not be friends with both? If you don't like her, why? is it something you can look past as you get to know her?
things don't always work our how you want them to, but they do work out how they're supposed to. -
I don’t think my friends realize-
But she was unfriended by her other friends, who didn’t really like her. Ig I feel bad, but she just chose a random group and decided to try and be friends with them.
She told me, Idek why -
i mean everyone is trying to find friends. especially in these times people need someone to talk to. i believe you should at least give her a chance in your friend group but if you ever feel uncomfortable around her you should just tell her straight up. just my opinion or what i would do

Last year, she attempted as well. She didn’t get super far, but this year it’s a little odd being around her -

if you don't know her well, it's worth a try. you still might not like her after you get to know her, but if she's getting close to your friends it might be better to include her instead of trying to make your friend feel like they can only spend time with one of you. the more the merrier, right?
of course, this is only if you don't end up not being able to stand her. sometimes you just don't get along with people. it happens.
