School hasn’t started for me yet, but I’m tired of my parents only focusing on one thing, an undetermined asset.
What do I mean you ask? College.
“No, don’t do Drama, do Band! It’ll look better on your application!” “What do you want to do when you grow up?” “No don’t spend that money, save it for college.”
I’m just so tired of it being all they think of. I haven’t started eighth grade yet and they’re already thinking about “my future” rather than what makes me happy now.
It’s just gotten so stressful with them lately. So stressful that maybe I don’t want to go to college. It’s all they ever talk about these days. “College, college college.” It’s really tiring and annoying.
I know they’re just trying to save me when it’s time, but I wish they’d talk about something other than college. all the time. -

They want to enroll me as soon as possible even though I'm in high school, and all they talk about is college. -
I’ll be taking classes in college next year. It gets here before you know it, but it’s completely okay to not know you’re going to do in the future yet.
