In basketball (when I first started, not when I found out that it was a foul) I could just stick out my arm and the offence person couldn't get past me

Idk the rules of basketball, I kinda just get out in the game and defend people

When someone is shooting their free throw shot behind me I time my shot exactly so that my ball knocks theirs out of the way -
