Go on.
I kept forgetting to do this.
I don't need your validation, though. It's mainly for the bad traits you might be afraid to openly name.

You're a bit to quick to dismiss conversations which makes it hard to talk to you
-
You have a tendency to blame others for your behavior. You need to learn to take credit for your actions. Nobody can "make" you angry; you choose to be angry. (This is something I am struggling to come to terms with myself, but it's definitely something you should work on as well.)
You also have a very bad tendency of treating depression/mental illnesses as an "accessory"; a personality trait that you flaunt. I haven't seen you do this as frequently as you used to, but it's still something to consider.
You put way too much reliance on romantic relationships. You need to learn to love yourself and go on through the world without relying on another person. Relationships can be a beacon in the darkness, but it is unfair for you to depend on others to make yourself happy. Let love come to you when you're ready for it. Stop trying to force it to happen. Also important: Don't give in to obsession, which can be a very toxic and very dangerous trait. -
Oh, I also agree with Eggaly's point. Not only do you dismiss conversations and shut others down conversationally, but I've also seen you shut down genuine help. If you're going to rant about your frustrations and beg for someone to understand/care, you can't put your energy into dismissing those people. People can only help/speak to you if you let them.
-
Hm. Maybe I don't try hard enough at conversation. A lot of times, though, I just honestly don't have the mentality to pay attention or find a good way to respond.
Hmm. The anger part, yes. I know.
Depression, possibly. I might seem to do that, but I also try to keep to myself. Now, I usually don't talk to someone unless they come to me and ask.
Relationships...nothing to be said on that one. You're right 100% and I know that I can't rely on others. Multiple people here have said this already. It's a habit I'm working on. -
Well, when it comes to getting help, I say what I've tried, you guys tell me something else to try. I try it, and it doesn't work. You keep suggesting whatever I might be able to do, and I try it. But, I feel like it's an excuse when I come back saying it didn't work, and at that rate, I try to dismiss any further discussion because I don't want you wasting words on trying to help me when I am not able to get the help even though I take the advise as best I can.
Not sure if that makes sense or sounds like an excuse in itself. -
I really do hope you find an outlet, for both the anger and depression. It's close to impossible to deal with those things alone.
Something I will add on is that, there's a difference between obsession and being lovey-dovey. I think most of what you post isn't necessarily too bad. I personally get excited when I see that someone cares about me enough to post about how much they enjoy my presence. Just make sure you find a balance! Don't let your feelings turn into an obsession that sucks you dry. -
Thank you. I'll try to be mindful.
-
That makes sense, and it doesn't sound like an excuse. But I think at that point, you should at least allow people to distract you with some form of conversation IF you're in the mood for one. Though, I know a lot of us here sometimes post to ourselves. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, though it's important we all remember this is a public forum and not a private journal site.
