why do knives scare you?

I have a paring knife in my desk drawer, but that's only for my clarinet reeds. -

I will be crying, but walk away slightly maimed (and "possibly" victorious) -
the only time that would even maybe be a problem is if they're hung on the wall or in a knife block lol and even then it's very very unlikely. you dont need to worry about it
