Yeah, different states definitely have different water. It has to do with minerals, chemicals, etc -
Our water tastes like water

Sometimes I was thankful just to get out of a state just because their water tasted that bad.

My town actually has especially bad water. It doesn't taste bad but it's got alot more random stuff in it than most places. We use a filter for any of it we drink

I remember one time I was at my friend's house overnight. I couldn't get the taste of her water out of my mouth until like a week after I was back home.

I just remembered a few years ago when I read a small book about Anastasia, and I was like, "Wait, Rasputin isn't this crazy revenge-driven guy that sells his soul for a demon flask to try and kill off the Romanov family?"
I mean, I knew movies change a lot of things, but WOW! -
They also weren't as obsessed with butter in the movie.

I managed to snag an appointment with the DMV!!! Sooo relieved. It was the last one for first time drivers' licenses in ANY city near me.
