i’m giving you the space and opportunity to explain. however i personally don’t know how else to express to you that a person being against your belief system is a harmful view.
i’m not going to discredit your opinion as it’s built on your own experiences and how you’re brought up, but with that, maybe consider yourself lucky that you’re not in a place where you have to challenge those perspectives.

Clara I'd just like to say that I totally understand where you're coming from with the pronouns and I understand that you're trying to do the right thing because I used to be the same way but regardless of intentions it can be really really hurtful to people.
Gender identity is very important for people and even though it might look like it, it's not a choice. Denying people their gender identity can be really invalidating because it's an important part of who they are. It's important to accept how people feel about their own gender because in the end they're the only ones who know how they actually feel.
I hope that my input can help you to understand things better. I know I probably didn't phrase everything the best so If I said anything in a confusing way please let me know. -
