Thread Topic: Let's Take a Daytrip

I've told my parents my struggle with depression, and I tell them what bothers me. They're attempting to help me, but they belittle the facts that bother me; and until I can find a way to make them understand that what I say is actually a problem, I may as well not have help because they're not helping!
So.
I'd love to say "I quit" to my life, but I just can't, so I'm stuck. -
You're lucky in some ways, at least you know how to stand up for yourself

are you just going to ignore my statements?

@ emy: I understand...
But I'm not able to just kill my feelings. He's told me I shouldn't love him, but I just... I don't even know. -
Ignore them when they belittle you. People who don't have depression often undermine it or fail to understand how hardcore it is on the mind. What you need to do is demand (or ask) for therapy or medication, because they aren't helping.
