What are your experiences with these apps?
Can you rank them from best to worst for: safety, efficiency, customer service, and money guarantee?
I love PayPal, but I know I have friends who don't use it and use Venmo or Cashapp. I saw the reviews of Cashapp, and it's giving me extreme paranoia. I want to know if any of you have actually had bad experiences with it, or if it's safe as long as you protect your password and such. -
LOL I spelled PayPal wrong in the title
Sorry -
I've used Cashapp and Paypal and have had very positive experiences with both. I prefer Cashapp for personal transactions (i.e. paying a friend back for dinner) and Paypal for professional ones. I've never had a problem with either.
Venmo won't let me make an account because someone else used my number to make one lol. -
You haven't had any security issues, or money not going thru on Cashapp? That is relieving.. The reviews made it seem so.. not good? Lol.
Is Venmo # only and not email?? Weird -
My dad uses pay pal a ton. I'd think it's pretty good.

I've never had an issue with it and my transactions have always gone through. I don't do any large amounts though; always under $100, idk if that might have anything to do with money not going through.
I think Venmo uses email and phone, but requires a phone number. They wanted me to send them documents such as my phone bill with my legal name on it, which I don't feel completely comfortable with and I'm on my parent's plan anyway. That should at least give you some peace of mind to know they're secure. They take security really seriously so it may be another good option. -
I only have Venmo and have had no issues with it. I don't know what you need to set up the account because I did it a few years ago, but I do think you definitely need an email. One of my bank accounts is also linked to it so I don't have to keep money sitting in the actual app, and I've never had a problem with it. Within a couple days money from venmo is transferred to my bank account with no additional costs or fees and I think whoever you're sending money to will get the money that day

TY guys for sharing your experiences!! Makes me feel a bit more secure
